My tutoring is sold in "six-packs" meaning that you pay for six one hour visits at a time. You will be in a steady weekly time slot. Occasional cancellations are allowed. (See the Policies.) When you are getting close to the end of a six-pack, I remind you that it is time to pay again. You can discontinue at the end of any six-pack, but you need to tell me because continuing is normally what happpens at the end of a pack. As the school term end is approaching, we will figure out how many more hours are needed. The payment will be for just that number of hours, even when it is less than six hours.
Free Initial Sample Visit When Considering a Six-Pack
As we start to consider working together, we can first communicate by email or phone to see if we match regarding rates and available time slots. If it looks like it will work, then we can set up a sample visit to work on math for 30 minutes for free, long enough to be sure that my ways of explaining things are helpful to the student and that we get along well.
If you do decide to continue, then at the next visit you would buy a pack. A time slot is not reserved until you buy a pack.

Included in this package are:- several practice tests provided as pdf files
- a detailed initial diagnostic assessment
- six hours ofACT and/or SAT tutoring
- follow up reports (less detailed) as more practice tests are taken
- I do not teach strategies for adaptive testing
Three-packs for Short Term needs
To accommodate shorter term needs, I offer the three-pack. The rate is higher per hour than a six-pack, so it is used mostly by people who do not plan to continue in a steady time slot. It is useful for things like finishing a summer packet, previewing the next course, getting some practice to get ready for a test for college placement, for getting into competitive programs like Honors math, or private school admission.
Discounts
Multiple Time Slots per Week
Six-pack clients who sign up for two or more time slots in a week (regularly) get a lower hourly rate. This discount can be used for one student or by a family when two different members come totaling at least two time slots in a week.
ACT or SAT Discount for School Six-Pack Families
Six-pack clients for school help can send the same student or a sibling for test prep at a discounted rate for the package.
